Fair Political Practices Commission Tells Neil Derry to GET LOST on His Ramos Complaint

The state Fair Political Practices Commission will not investigate a complaint filed against James Ramos, who is running for a seat on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. The complaint, filed April 3, alleged Ramos failed to adequately report his income and real property investments on campaign disclosure forms. The complaint also alleged Ramos failed to report his earnings as former chairman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians while serving on the San Bernardino Community College District's governing board. Ramos' attorney, Diane Fishburn, has defended her client by saying the disclosure requirements are different for different offices. Ramos' campaign and his opponent, incumbent supervisor Neil Derry, confirmed the FPPC will not investigate the complaint, although Derry said he disagreed with the decision and went on to challenge Ramos to release his income tax returns.
