Letter: Attack On San Manuel's James Ramos Deceitful

A good letter on the deceitful tactics that SB Supervisor Neil Derry is using in his campaign with James Ramos, of San Manuel.  We know there are legitimate attacks on some tribal chairman, such as Pala's Robert Smith and the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians Mark Macarro

Attack on Ramos deceitful

In any healthy democratic society, political discourse means candidates will disagree on issues and attempt to convince voters that the quality of their positions and character is evidence of their superior leadership. Unfortunately, a candidate also can smear his opponent, who in this case is a dedicated public servant (“Gang allegations show gloves off in S.B. County race,” Feb.5).

San Bernardino County Supervisor Neil Derry is using a deceitful and pathetic flier trying to tie his opponent, James Ramos, to “gang members,” “drug dealers” and “killers for hire.”

I am the retired police chief of Redlands. Ramos has never been tied to criminals. He is a good, decent man who has selflessly served the public in a wide variety of ways. Derry’s assertion that he was somehow tied to that activity — simply because he is a member of the San Manuel tribe — is at best illogical, and at worse, an expression of racism.

His assertion is akin to a claim that because a former member of the Board of Supervisors has been linked to criminal behavior, Derry himself should be tied to criminals.

Derry should immediately retract his disgraceful position, apologize and focus on the issues important to the voters in the 3rd District.

We all deserve better from him.

Politicians not only crooks;police, even ex police chiefs with agendas, also look out for their own best interests...they are also illegally enrolled in tribes and engage in criminal activities covered by 'internal matters.'

Yes, there are "Corrupt and Criminal Politicians," that's a given. And we all know of the "Corrupt and Criminal" acts that these "Shameful Tribal (Casino) Leaders," under the "Gize" of: "Sovereignty," and it's an "Internal Matter." But to "Belittle" this "Ex-Police Chief" for trying to set the record staight on behalf of "Ramos" is a little "Inappropriate, at best." He obviously knows Ramos, and had to have dealings with him. I can't help but wonder where your true "Loyalties Lie!" "I Get That" you think that everone in the "Political Areana" are vested "Criminal Elements," and I agree that there are a "Lot," but, then again, not everyone is "Suspect:"...Without Proof!" His opinion is just that..."His," and he has the right to "Voice it!"

Why does Amy Deutschke bury her head in the sand?

Because "Chickenhawk" is in charge. And he isn't even going to anger his "Partners In Crime:".. "The Criminal and Corrupt Tribal Leaders" that he backs "Without Question!" For you have got to know that she wouldn't make a move "Without Him!" Reminds you of "Mark" and his "Underlying Greed," and the ability to make the B.I.A...."Dance!"..."For Corruptin Is, What Corruption Does," and they know exactly what they are doing, for it's all about the "Money!"

I have nothing against the guy; he has been a good leader to his people. He and his tribe also should be praised for the good they do for the community. They give much more than Pechanga to the schools hospitals and other organizations. Sounds like the smearing against him is the only thing that his opponent has to use against him

But wasn't there much talk of a criminal element living on San Manuel reservation?..I think I read it on this site that there were MM being sheltered on the res?..correct me if I'm wrong?...

White Buffalo said...

The only incident that I am aware of is a brother and sister who were accused of hiring someone from the MM to take out an enemy. It turns out that they were friends with members of the MM, but they themselves were not. The attempt by the MM to complete the contract was stopped and the two from San Manuel were arrested. Both got a lot of time, and are now in prison.

San Manuel is instrumental in chaos;injustice in Indian Country;ditto for police.

People who have not fallen into the rabbit hole have no idea of what actually goes on behind the facade.

Where is all this "Hate" and "Discontent' coming from? Have you got "Specifics?" If so, share it, or "Leave It Alone." You come off like you are "Angery at the World!"

Smokey, you are deluded; your lack of discernment; Your ignorance is causing your confusion. You rant and rail about why nothing is done to stop injustice..however, when you remove your blinders, you will see exactly what has transpired in the past and continues to transpire. I do not hate nor am I'angry at the world.'However,I do hate injustice and am very angry that criminal acts are being committed against innocents by ruthless sociopaths.

I am very much informed regarding how the force and effect of corruption is the result of 'hidden hands.' While I do appreciate your sincere concern, you really do not know what has happened to bring Pechanga to this juncture.

I understand what you are saying. I believe every human is born into a family of humanity where each human cares for others for the common good of a society...however,what is happening at Pechanga did not happen in a vacuum;Pechanga is not an isolated cell acting independently of itself.

Please explain more. Are you from San Manuel? If so how were they involved with Pechanga? I believe that I am very well informed with the issues and reasons why we were disenrolled. This is the first suggestion that San Manuel is involved in any way. Unless you are referring to the Potato making a comment at a tribal council meeting where he was overheard to say that he wanted his per-cap payment to be as much as those Indians at San Manuel. How do I know this well I was a couple of tables in front of him when he said it.

No. I'm well "Aware" of the "Corrupt and Criminal Indescretions" of these "Tribal Leaders," and "Mark Macarro" being one of the worst. There is no "Confusion" here. We have all watched what has been "Transpiring" here since the "Advent of the Casino,...and your right, it continues without "Intervention." For "Justice in a World of Injustice" is "NON-EXISTENT!" I am, also, very "Angery" at all the "Blatant Criminal Acts" against "Native Americans" in their charge.

I am very much informed regarding how the force and effect of corruption is the result of 'hidden hands.' While I do appreciate your sincere concern, you really do not know what has happened to bring Pechanga to this juncture.

Oh, this "Hidden Hands Agenda" at "Pechanga" that you speak of, being the well "Informed Person" that you are, differ from what we already know? For we have "Lived It" So, if you feel. that we are "Unaware" of (What has happened to bring Pechanga to this junture)..."Spell It OUT!"

I understand what you are saying. I believe every human is born into a family of humanity where each human cares for others for the common good of a society...however,what is happening at Pechanga did not happen in a vacuum;Pechanga is not an isolated cell acting independently of itself.

The is injustice up and down the state, Chukchansi being the worst offender right now, far outstripping the damage the Macarro brothers have wrought.

That is why we must all stand together. It's not just about Pechanga, not just about Hunters, though OP does a good job of presenting other issues.

It's about being involved in your own justice. Writing letters is shining light. Send an email a week asking what is the latest... comment on newspaper stories to show interest in the topic to editors.

It's easy for a tribe to do a little window dressing like San Manuel...all of their commercials tell you what great contributions they make....but do they just do it for P.R.?
When the tribes asked for Casinos it was supposedly for self reliance and helping fellow tribes that didn't get to have Casinos....I don't think it was for tribal members to get upwards of $100,000 a month state tax free...or $25,000 a month like Pechanga.....I bet if the per cap had a couple thousand dollar a month cap and sharing the rest with other tribes, you guys would have never been kicked out....it's so much greed it is sickening!...have you seen those ugly " houses " they have built above San Manuel?..
And every once and awhile they build a building for the city to get praised for charity....please...the charity comes from hard working California gamblers that hope to win, but never will....at least in Vegas there really is a gambling commission....unlike the tribes that appoint themselves as the regulators.....why would they tell anyone if they fix the machines to never pay out?

It is true. Actions do speak louder than words.
The whole Washington control of Indian Gaming was a cruel hoax.
Cabazon Indians'victory determined Indians did not need Washington's approval. However, while non-Indians all knew; Indians apparently did not.

Washington's cruel hoax and false regulations made possible for another yolk of oppression to subjugate Indians' sovereignty to States' sovereignty...It was all another fraud.

Illegal moratoriums, disenrollments without due process, illegal banishments;landlocking;corruption were predicated by 'hidden hands' even before the first group representing Pechanga went to Washington...what transpired resulted in a secret society whereby Indians'interests were subjugated to international entities whose 'interests'were deemed of greater priority. When the Pechanga group came back, they were already indoctrinated to with-hold truth regarding what actually transpired. They became fabulists;fiction tellers even to their own blood relatives.

Non-Indians became the shadow 'tribe'which illegally became illegal shareholders;owners of Pechanga.

Fabulists were so convincing, they introduced the idea of illegal moratoriums which was a scheme to steal from legitimate Indians and enroll non-Indians in their place.

Illegal moratorium was just a warming up; an opening of the door to corruption.

As for Apis..common sense dictates that those who were enrolled by fraud could not legally determine the legality or illegality of 'disenrollment.'

The case presented in defense of the enrollment committed could have been proven by presenting evidence that individual illegally enrolled members were committing a fraud themselves.

Further, the so-called 'council' itself was contaminated with illegally enrolled.

Further, upon notice of illegal disenrollment, aggrieved members were to be presented with written notice of the time period that disenrolled had to appeal the decision...written notice was to note in detail each 'fact' that led to the decision.

'Illegally disenrolled'then had the said time period to appeal to the BIA;Sacrmento.

As for San Manuel...Deron Marquez was the voice and face in the early days of non-regulation.

Marquez was not only articulate and soft-spoken...he is very charismatic and intelligent.

Marquez was really the prize in the stable of non-Indians running tribes using Indians as shams and spokespersons.

California Indian Gaming reg is a farce run in fact by a well-financed'organization that supposedly was birthed to protect Indians...but..in reality, opened the door to corruption and the protection of criminals and violation of human rights.

Carole Goldberg used her cover at UCLA to recruit their 'star' of stars; their ultimate galoot,DeRon Marquez, to later enter into a business arrangement to open a 'school' which, in reality 'trains' Indian shams how to employ "Indian law" to violate Indians'human rights.

Macarro's youth made him appear more 'child-like;more innocent.' The use of younger appearing minions was perfect to 'lure' people into voting for prop.

In the early years, CIGNA opened its doors to 'teach' Indians about Indian history. Along with these lessons,so-named "leaders" had their own private sessions where they were indoctrinated in 'dirty tricks' to steal from legitimate Indians.

We who are "Committed" have been doing "Just That!" Everthing we have put out there "Falls on Deaf Ears. Now I grant you that there are a few "News Outlets" that print what is happening, but the "Government(Indian Affairs)" seems to care less. There only "Agenda" seems to be "Backing the Casino Indians Corrupt and Criminal Acts" without "Question." So, will we stop putting the truth out there?...."HELL NO!"

I met San Manuels Leader James Ramos several times on various occasions,[we where at the same functions] I talked to him about Pechanga's disenrollments and we got into a little more of what was going on at Pechanga, but other then saying that he was very sorry about the situation, that it was wrong and terrible, I never EVER HEARD HIM SPEAKING OUT IN PUBLIC against it. Why is that?

Tribal leaders are afraid to be on the wrong side of the fence when it comes to justice.

That's what would be helpful, getting ONE tribal leader to stand up.

Anonymous said...

Sardonic HA!There are no leaders. there are only show ponies aka spokespersons aka figure heads.

Ramos may feign sympathy, however,San Manuel is sponsoring injustice.Endowed chairs buy academia 'legitimacy'...a very good cover for sowing seeds of injustice.
Carole Goldberg suppresses justice for Indians..UCLA is only one incubator of corruption and injustice; all the while expressing feign affinity with Indians lying through her stiff lips and stink eyes.

Outward shows of charity is just that. Ramos is even more intellectually brilliant than Deron Marquez....and...more cunning;politically astute.

Jacob Coin is assisting with his pitchfork and ruthless expertise in cultivating injustice.

stand your ground said...

Ramos is smart and cunning, no doubt about it.
