CASINO CRIMEWATCH: BICYCLE Hotel and Casino SHUT DOWN by FEDS

Federal agents Tuesday shut down the Bicycle Hotel and Casino in Bell Gardens as part of a criminal fraud investigation, authorities said.

Authorities with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) confirmed the raid, but would not comment “on the scope or nature of the investigation.”

The raid was a part of a “criminal fraud” investigation, according to KNX 1070’s Pete Demetriou.

Meanwhile, corruption runs unabated at Pechanga Resort and Casino. This is what happens when the abnormal becomes normal.

Hopefully the FBI are investigating all the tribes that have dissenrolled. Those are the ones that send up red flags with corruption. If there going to cheat there own people then of course they will cheat the federal government

Bicycle Hotel and Casino is a card room, not owned and operated by a tribe. The NIGC is not involved. There are no allegations of IRA violations. The investigation involves money laundering of illicit drug profits.

Hey Reinstatement_Restitution, who mentioned the NIGC (National Indian Gatekeepers of Corruption)? And IGRA is what you meant?

Pala will be the next Indian Casino to get shut down and they should be.
There is so much corruption in Pala that connects to the Riverside BIA along with the Regional Office in Sacramento.

Sorry, I did mean IGRA. Even though the feds moved in on Bicycle Casino, it was the result of a criminal investigation. Indian casinos are regulated by the IRGA. The NIGC would have to get involved to close down an Indian casino for any violations other than violent crimes.

I agree pala is full of murders and corruption. Something has got to change there before the members kill eachother. Robert has got everyone at each others throates. They need new leadership and to reenroll. That would bring pala back together

IGRA is the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act which established Indian Gaming in 1988. The NIGC was established to "regulate" Indian Gaming but was set up to fail, due to the illusion of "Tribal Sovereignty"; only wealthy and corrupt tribes like Pechanga Resort and Casino have their "sovereignty" admonished by the Nation Indian Gatekeepers of Corruption. Case in point, a tribe in Oklahoma had a tribal member embezzle $50,000+/- and sanctions were leveled against that tribe, yet how many millions have the Mirandas and employees at PRC obtained through outright theft only to be given a slap on the wrist... Visit indianz.com and see similar stories akin to the one I mentioned.

The NIGC has limited powers of enforcement and investigation. The commission has few resources dedicated to enforcement. The enforcement arm of the NIGC is spread too thinly over the many tribal gaming establishments and rarely acts on complaints or reports of violations. Tribal casinos know that they can operate freely as long as audited financial reports are submitted on a timely basis and funds are distributed according to revenue sharing agreements.

The NIGC shut down Chukchansi Resort and Casino, and should have shut it down for good.
