National Archives Seattle to Close. Money Saved or Evidence Hidden.

This is a sad state of affairs in Seattle.

The decision to pack up and move the
National Archives at Seattle to Southern California and Kansas City, Missouri, has rattled those who have spent hours doing research in the mammoth facility.  Seattle Times has the full story here

A panel charged with looking at ways to trim federal properties deemed excess has recommended the 73-year-old building and its 10-acre site be sold. The U.S. Office of Management and the Budget (OMB) agreed and announced its decision late Friday that the facility should be closed.

The archives are critical as we have seen where the BIA has pulled some okie dokes on hiding information here in California.  Read about that here

Wonder if there is an inventory of the documents and if there will be an objective party verifying that the records are moved properly and completely?
