Do You Have Pechanga Blood? Open Enrollment in January for Pechanga Tribe

Open Enrollment to the Pechanga Tribe in January.   Call for Application.  If they tell you there is a moratorium, simply ask them how that could be with the constitution saying open enrollment.   The Pechanga Tribal Council has ruled that the people can't overrule the constitution on membership issues, therefore, the moratorium would be illegal.

The Pechanga Bylaws and Constitution provide for OPEN ENROLLMENT each January. If you believe you belong in the tribe, you should request an application.

The address from the Pechanga website for contacting their Tribal Government is:
Pechanga Enrollment Committee
PO BOX 1477
Temecula, CA 92593

(951)770-6000
fax: (951) 695-1778

Don't take NO for an answer. It's IN their constitution.    Call and ask for Frances Miranda.   You can go to the government center for a packet.

I called and they told me I needed to come down and get one! I live in another state so I plan on doing so As soon as I can. Will try and call back in hopes someone kind will send me a packet.
What I find a bit odd is parts of my family are registered and yet they do not receive anything. Is there a certain percentage needed to receive benefits? Or does paperwork need to be redone?

If your family are members, they should be receiving per capita payments.

Does the tribe have the correct addresses?

I should ask! It's crazy also because my family just went through an adoption issue with my cousins baby and a member of the tribe showed up to the hearing. My grandfather was receiving free healthcare a while back and then moved. Since his passing last month our family is starting to be more proactive in preserving who he was and is! Many Many Thanks for listening and having a place where I can ask quetsions! My Great Great Great grandmother is Candelaria Flores!

Then you would be related to Frances Miranda, she's on the enrollment committee. I'm sure she would look out for her family.

Yeah right, good luck with that.
Frances is corrupt, don't expect anything.

I don't mean don't do it.
Just telling it like I see it.
Good luck to you, zandstarr.

I am resubmitting my application this year as last year it was returned with a "don't bother" sending sticky note. My age was highlighted as well as everyone else's in my family. Why was that? Interesting.

mental health services (for all of you)really, did the tribe offer this to disenrolled people and families?

I am being serious? Being removed from the tribe or even placed in a moratorium for 14 years screwed by your tribe or family (being serious) maybe the tribe should open up a health service office?
