Morongo Tribe Steps UP, Where Pechanga Fails to Help With Pechanga Descendant's Burial. Munoa Relatives Silent

Word is coming from family of the Manuel Rios Sr., whose own family is in the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Mission Indians via the Munoa/Vasquez family, that PECHANGA REFUSES to help with the cost of funeral expenses.  Claiming that Mr. Rios is not part of the tribe, though he owns land on the reservation, which was set aside for ALL Temecula Indians.   True, but only because corruption on the Enrollment Committee kept the family from being enrolled, which we've written about before.

Munoa Family Members are on the PDC, Pechanga Gaming Commission and on the Pechanga Tribal Council.

The MORONGO BAND has agreed to help a Native Family out with a donation of $500 which will bring the family closer to their $5,000 goal.  This is what real Native's do, help each other in times of need

Pechanga's Tribal Secretary Louise Burke, refused the Rios Family plea for assistance. Pechanga will help STRANGERS, but not those with attachment to the tribe, even when they have stolen over $500 MILLION in per capita payments from members via disenrollment.   "Not their policy" was the reply.  Maybe the Rios' should have claimed it was for a sports team.

You Pechanga guys are heartless ( I hate your F-in guts).

Amazing to compare the two tribes willingness to help a Native family. Morongo shows leadership, that Pechanga won't.

Munoas are weak...

Thia Munoa guy and Burke woman don't even look native. Does pechanga have a blood quantum? They must be a lineal descendent tribe I would gather. Kudos to Morongo!!

I think their 1/64 the rest white.

Most the tribe is like that, or they will not enroll the dark skin or real Temecula Indians.

Sad that the Munoa's have clawed their way to power on the backs of their own relatives.

It reminds of Frances Miranda, who ensured her own Manuela Miranda family were removed from the tribe.

Nice work, LOUISE! You are a terrific person and help keep the legacy of the Frances, Ihrene and Ruth going.... You should be proud

Hey Pechanga tribe , why don't you waterboard these dis-enrolled and moratorium people and shut them up?

I heard you treat them pretty bad on the rez?

Even though my income is WAY BELLOW the poverty level, I have decided to as a disenrolled Hunter to donate.

It is my opinion that everyone who is Pechanga should help out and donate, after all were all family.

I just sent in my donation via Paypal, hope it helps out.

Louise and Jared did you donate?

I'd like to hope the Pechanga Tribe would come to the aid of the needy, especially a family that BELONGS.

For TWO decades they've been kept from their rightful place. It's heartbreaking and yet, to compound the injustice, their OWN relations won't go to bat for them?

They've added a MILLION to their wallets by keeping their kin out of the tribe...

MORONGO, you have done right by a family suffering a great loss....THANK YOU.....

Thank you all for your posts but you can honor our father by continuing the fight for justice as we all deserve our rightful place in our tribes warrior up ,stand and fight for all
