Dianne Feinstein's Investigation into BIA's handling of San Pasqual Matter Ongoing

California Senator Dianne Feinstein has her team inquiring into the Bureau of Indian Affairs actions in the San Pasqual Descendants matter.

This response, the second received by Native American rights activist Emilio Reyes, proves that persistent efforts achieve results.  In this case, getting a Senator to help a constituent.   Feel free to send ME your responses from Feinstein or Boxer (just kidding on Boxer).

Wonderful news that the actions of the CA BIA are finally being looked into.

Amy Dutschke seems to be out of control. Senator Feinstein will take care of it I'm sure...

ALL members of the United States Congress need to take a stand against the corruption of tribal disenrollment. It is PAST time for Congress to use their plenary power to sanction tribes who engage in the disenrollment of their People, and to strongly encourage offending tribes through these sanctions (including threat of loss of federal recognition and/or contract funds) to bring our People home--where WE BELONG!!!

Thank you senator Feinstein, this is the right thing to do.

If Feinstein can change an ancestors blood from half San Pasqual Indian to full San Pasqual Indian, I would be really impressed.

When you start digging up old bones, they aren't always what you thought they were. Tread lightly Martinez family, you could ultimately bring out some things you might not like.

When you start measuring the blood and then call them "non- Indian" you're doing an ethnic cleanse. That is non-human behavior. That is Nazi-like bull shit.

What happens when a mexican Spaniard family(1830's) gets put on native American census rolls(1880s) because they marry into the family. Is it possible to get more blood through generations or does it dilute? This is what Feinstein is going to have to divest. It is going to be so interesting because so many tribes have enrollment issues and what is she going to do? Wave a magic wand? If you don't have the blood, what is the end result? And how can Feinstein resolve anything when it's a tribal matter and she has helped tribes so minimal. I believe she is overstepping. IMHO

To Nicky @11:17am,
If they are non-Indian, they are non-Indian; I see nothing nazi about that, just a fact of nature.

Remember our Ancestors had settlements with the Federal Government and we ALL need to appreciate that fact. Federally recognition can be taken away just like the tribes today who believe they can strip band members rights and not honor ALL members and their Ancestors only a select group. If these things can happen within a Band, the recognition can be stripped by the Federal government. KARMA has a way of clarifying the TRUTH. I'm not saying this is going to happen, but if the bad things happen inside and some want to ignore the TRUTH and honor ALL, anything is possible. Why should some have more rights than ALL? Especially if we ALL were recognized by elders before our time. The book is crystal clear.

Don't let her fool you! Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and the BIA are all corrupt! They are all part of the disenrollments. Read this link. https://buffalohair.wordpress.com/2012/03/02/miwok-wikileaks-reveal-corruption-all-the-way-to-congress/

Great article. We have been saying that this corruption is deep and wide for a longtime and still it is happening. These people have literally destroyed the lives of thousands of Native Americans, they are as bad if not worse than the men who killed Indians hundreds of years ago. All of this for money in their pockets, which they do not even really need. How sad that people who think they can do this without real harm, but they are harming, not only the disenrolled, but all of their families. Vengeance is mine says the Lord, may the Lord have his vengeance with you. You are not human beings with any kind of compassion or love for others, you are selfish, self-centered, narcissistic, animals.

Don't you understand? The only reason she is pretending to help is to cover her tracks. She has built a spiderweb of corruption within the BIA. What is she going to do? What can she really do? These matters have to go through the courts. We will never get justice until we can have the courts supersede the Tribes. That will be never.

She probably thinks that since San Pasqual is a Casino tribe that the disenfranchised can come with some funds for her expertise in Native American Equality and Civil Liberties.

The BIA does need to be investigated. It won't change the decisions that have been made, but it might have an impact on the way they do business. The decisions on blood degree are historic and it is up to tribes to make determinations on membership. The BIA's role should be to insure that Tribes actually make the decisions and not the tribal leaders. Any disenrollment of members on federally approved rolls should require Secretarial elections. That is how to make sure that rogue leaders don't interfere with the benefits of tribal members.

How hard is that? Really, I mean it. How hard is that?

It's sad that I have been writing to Senator Feinstein for years now and thi8s i8s longest reply I have ever received:

Dear Mr. Nunez:

Thank you for writing to me about the difficulties
you are having with a federal agency.

I understand your concern, and my office will be
very glad to do all they can to be of help. To contact an
agency on your behalf, we need to have you complete
and return the form on my Senate website under the title

include a copy of correspondence from the federal
agencies in question if you have any.

Please send this information to my California

Unfortunately my problem(s)is the same as every disenrolled Indian. I have been writing to our representatives for some tine now, and it appears that my words have no effect, for I am not rich, I have made mistakes in my past that strangle me like a weight round my neck, so this takes away my credibility as an upstanding citizen. I do believe that the slow steady path is the best. I encourage you to keep moving forward even if it seems that you are not getting any ware that is all we can do.

Feinstein is full of shit just like Darrell Isa.

It seems that everyone is counting on Feinstein and others to solve these issues.
Why don't you take this shit for what it is.
It's not the Government that's dragging their asses IT'S YOU, the still enrolled members that are to chicken shit to stand and defend their own Family Members against a corrupt EC.
This could be over and done with if you would not be scared of Robert Smith and the other Corrupt EC members of the different Tribes that are doing these unforgivable acts to Native American Indians.
A note for Pala, you people better act soon because good sources are confirming that more disenrollments are on the horizon.
That's right Pala is looking at another large voting block to disenroll in the next couple of months.

My post is not meant as a "oh why wont someone help me/us" it is just an example of; "do not expect everyone to do what you must do for yourself" this lesson has not come easily. The only true help comes from Jesus, and he is not interested in our nationality. He is interested in our souls and spiritual salvation. He requires from us only repentance, and the belief that he was born of the virgin Mary, he is the son of God, he is without sin, He died for our sin, and he rose again after having been dead for three days. Last our family, Francis Miranda was one of the persons behind our disenrollment. I am sure she will answer for what she has done, so I forgive her, just as Jesus forgives me of my sin.
