BREAKING: UPDATE: DEATH AT PECHANGA SHOTS FIRED on the Pechanga Reservation in Temecula

NOW, a murder investigation??

Word coming from the Pechanga Reservation in Temecula that SHOTS have been fired. Police helicopters are over the scene.  Sheriff's Deputies are on scene.

UPDATE: Three stories of what happened, including a suicide.... Stay tuned.

UPDATE II: A woman on the reservation, a non member resident apparently SHOT her brother... Stay tuned.

UPDATE III: It appears that some Morales family members are being let through.....

UPDATE IV:  Calls to Pechanga Resort   (951) 693-1819 gets a response that they haven't heard of anything TODAY??

UPDATE VI:  The Press Enterprise FINALLY reports the death at almost 9 p.m.  They are reporting the death as being in the "unincorporated area of Temecula"  at 12000 Pechanga Rd. Which, acccording to Google MAPS..is ON THE RESERVATION.   Now, why wouldn't they report it as such.

UPDATE VII: The latest:  A 63-year-old Temecula-area man is behind bars in connection with the shooting death of his brother-in-law, sheriff's officials say.
Nelson Virgil Allen was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, July 27, along the 12700 block of Pechanga Road and booked for investigation of murder, jail records show. Allen’s bail is $1 million.
The shooting was reported about 11 a.m. along Pechanga Road where Allen and his brother-in-law – 42-year-old Donald Piper – lived on the same piece of property, Sgt. Tyson Voss said in a written statement.

“The property is a large parcel with several houses surrounded by the Pechanga Reservation, but is not associated with the reservation,” according to the statement. “Piper and Allen were brothers-in-law and were engaged in an ongoing family dispute.”
Piper died at the scene.

??'s:  Do they access the property via the reservation?  2. Did the Tribal Rangers respond?

It was just a matter of time. They've had a carjacking, allowed a child molester back on the rez. Had Jennie Miranda steal from the tribe, more disenrollments threatened.

Wow, prayers are with our reservation, Lord, please heal our land and keep it safe!

Riverside sheriffs are on scene conducting an investigation and have set up flood lights and port-o-potty. Seems like they are getting ready for a long investigation. Family is being rerouted to the Tribal Rangers station. They are not releasing any info at this time. We know two people are in custody but nothing further.

One death, a male

Anonymous said...

Riverside sheriff is letting the Morales family through and are saying its a non Pechanga Tribal fatality.

Anonymous said...

This is a tribal member from another tribe residing on the rez?

Anonymous said...

Is that Sylvia's brother??

Better to stay away from the Casino today, if they don't know what is happening....

Has Pechanga madea statement? Is the casino safe?

Anonymous said...

hope theresidents are safe, evenwith Ibanez on the loose

Anonymous said...

Pechanga will protect the casino first. Would you risk going?

'aamokat said...

What, nothing about this in the so called mainstream media? I guess Pechanga doesn't want the word out that there was a shooting at Pechanga because people might think it is at the casino.

Anonymous said...

Was it a member?

OPechanga said...

The Press Enterprise just posted it as being in the "unincorporated area of Temecula". Don't want the Reservation to come into it. 10 hours after it was reported.

"The Press Enterprise just posted it as being in the "unincorporated area of Temecula". Don't want the Reservation to come into it. 10 hours after it was reported."

Any place else it probably would have been breaking news on all the news programs. As I pointed out, Pechanga doesn't want the word Pechanga, that it happened at Pechanga even though on the reservation proper and not at the casino, because some people might not realize it was not at the casino and not come to the casino. So is it really just about all about money?

Anonymous said...

WELL????????are you gonna tell us what happened ?

Or do we get it from the autopsy report?

Anonymous said...

The Press Enterprise will have a full, detailed report today, I'm sure.

'aamokat said...

Well, the latest I have heard is that it was the husband of the victim's sister, not the sister, who shot the man and that it was a dispute over land. They are not tribal members and the land is privately owned land not part of an allotment.

Anonymous said...

How can it be a dispute over land that belongs to " Temecula Indians " ?

How can a private person own Rez land?

Anonymous said...

If this was a land dispute,Macaro
probably had something to do with it. You know, that guy thats the chairman, the guy with a "Big Face"
A short torso,and short legs,and a
fake smile.

Anonymous said...

It's funny, from Google Maps, it looks like they have to access the property from the reservation gate, as it's adjacent to the fire station.

So, it's starting to look like a duck, and quack like a duck.

Anonymous said...

FOR YOUR INFORMATION NOSEY PEOPLE.....IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH LAND. DON'T MAKE ACCUSATIONS THAT ARE NOT FACTS!!!! MIND YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!! THE FAMILY HAD BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH. HAVE SOME RESPECT PEOPLE!!!!

Anonymous said...

out of this whole story all you guys care about is why it wasn't reported to be on pechanga who care someone lost their life and a family is left to deal with something so tragic R.I.P. Donald and to his family im so sorry for your loss

Piper died at the scene.

WAY to represent ~~~> Pechanga victims (again)

To the 2:50 poster I am sorry for your Loss ( I am sorry for the behavior) of some of the people here.

Anonymous said...

Figures all you people care about is the casino and it happening on the rez. This is tragedy, the least you people can do is keep your negative comments to yourselves out of RESPECT.

Anonymous said...

Yes we should all pray for Pechanga. Regardless if these people were tribal or not, it's a bad day when a family member is murdered. I pray for pechanga, the residents, the members, the counsel, for Mark. That the hatred, anger, corruption and cancer is gone and the tribe and reservation is once again peaceful, loving and caring the way it used to be. Before the hate adopted people brought.

Anonymous said...

If my memory serves me correct, i
believe the property in question
was an original allotment from a
Pechanga (Temecula Indian)who was the grandmother or great-grandmother of the residents. So,
i guess that makes Indian land occupied by indians from a different Tribe.

Anonymous said...

Why is anyone concerned with who the land belonged to or who occupied the land? There is no land "in question". What matters here is that several of these family members lost a brother...& a few of em lost an uncle at the hands of their father. Please have some respect. It is just pure heartache. May this family find peace & love once again.

Anonymous said...

This is my cousin, have some respect!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

People that are from other tribes cannot own land that belongs to a tribe ?

Example, A Temecula Indian cannot own Navajo Indian land?

Your not making Sense ? So your saying there was a killing over land that did not belong to either one of them ?????????????

What kind of FUCKING tribal Government is PECHANGA?

Please respond ?

Anonymous said...

Since everyone's most highest concern is the land (not the fact that a family is grieving):
The land that is being spoken of is located on Pechanga reservation but is fee property..not Pechanga land although it is within the boundaries of the reservation.
A tribal member (not a Pechanga tribal member) of the victim bought the property & then heired the property to the victim/children/siblings of her own. The property will continue to be heired. So it was NOT a dispute over the property. one cannot fight over property that is already theirs. It was a "family dispute" over other family matters that ended tragically.
Please let that family grieve. RiP Donald. My condolences go out to the ENTIRE Morales family.

Anonymous said...

Condolences to the Morales family? The Morales' are who killed him! He's a PIPER! Condolences to the PIPER family.

Anonymous said...

Yes. He was a Piper. Morales' did not kill him. His brother in law did. But in fact his sisters/brothers are Morales'. They are also grieving.

Anonymous said...

The paper said it was on land surrounded by the reservation. They have lived there a long time...

How does reservation land get purchased by non Pechanga people?

Anonymous said...

Did the Pechanga Tribal Rangers respond to the shots fired?

Anonymous said...

So, this family would have also received the letter from Mark Macarro telling them they were NO LONGER allowed to use the facilities they had used prior, or they would lose access to their land?

Anonymous said...

So, are you trouble makers Tribal Members or tribal members that have been disenrolled?

Anonymous said...

These so-called "trouble makers" are tribal members of another band of federally recognized Indians!!! Wtf?! Have some respect! They were never enrolled or disenrolled by any tribe!!

Anonymous said...

IT IS NOT RESERVATION LAND. IT IS FEE PROPERTY! PURCHASED A VERY LONG TIME AGO GOING BACK GENERATIONS.

Anonymous said...

Wow....I can't believe some of you "Indians".... so in the dark about who you are and your knowledge of simple things like private property and how its obtained....which can be taught to you but your respect for the families who are grieving through this terrible time is awful. Don't act like this world...don't air your dirty laundry on this white smoke signal for these people to read...where is your heart!!! Thank you to the respectful ones for your condolences. Rip Uncle....we will miss you

Anonymous said...

Fee property ( what the Fuck ) I am a Temecula Indian with no land?

Give me my Land ? God Damn it !!!
You Shit bag Pechanga Council !

Anonymous said...

Who the Fuck cares about the land or details of the murder, we lost an uncle by the hand of our own family. It is a horrible, heartbreaking situation. RIP Donald you will Loved and always in our Hearts.
For the rest of the family,i give you My condolences and my love.
As for the casino... Who FUCKING cares!!!! It's more about Pride and minding your own business. Btw the Morales family had nothing to do with it, they are grieving along with the rest if the family.

Anonymous said...

Are you fucking serious?! People are on here to comment about THEIR bullshit with THEIR land & THEIR bullshit about the Pechanga tribal council?! Wow. Some of you are heartless. A beloved family member is deceased. A family is left to deal with the tragedy, heartbreak & hurt of it. And all anyone can ask &/or say is about property or land or the council? This is a cold, cold world we are raising our children in. Think of these people as if this happened in your family, how they must feel, what they are going through. Would you want to read the disrespectful things that are on here? Some of you are just wrong. My condolences to Donald Piper's family.

I think this time I will stick up for OP, perhaps you people who lost your loved one are on the wrong site?

They have sites where you could go post messages to people that have been killed or have died.

This is a Human rights site , where people have been raped by ( The Pechanga Council ).

You need to go to an On line Cemetery site for your friend, to vent ( This is not the place ) Sorry for your loss.

'aamokat said...

My apologies for even bringing up that it could be a land dispute as, regardless, it is a terrible tragedy for whatever reasons it happened. My prayers and hopes are with his family at this time.

Saying this is not helpful at all as the folks who are grieving need to and are free to vent here and we understand. To them, I am sorry I said that I heard it was a dispute over land. Please accept my apology.

Anonymous said...

Even the immediate family says it was over a long sibling dispute over the land.

Anonymous said...

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a person I considered a dear friend. It is a tragedy. I send comfort and strength to all those affected by this tragedy.

Anonymous said...

Most people can multi-task. The loss of a loved one is sad, that that loss is at the hands of another relative is sadder still.

That doesn't mean we can't point out that the media covers for Pechanga in keeping things quiet. Remember the Richard Swan beating?

Anonymous said...

Perhaps chicken shit anonnymous @1:2PM
Your on the wrong blog. Your probably just another hater who was disenrolled. You outta be ashamed of yourself!!!

"Perhaps chicken shit anonnymous @1:2PM

Yes it was wrong and insensitive for this person to say what he or she said but it is not about enrolled, disenrolled, or never enrolled as this has affected some from all of the above at Pechanga and even at neighboring Pala.

Anonymous said...

In my opinion... this whole blog conversation is a shameful, disgusting, disrespectful bunch of garbage. A young man just died, and no one appears to be concerned, or give a crap about him or the loved ones that were left behind... All this talk about tribal vs non-trible, property... who does or doesn't own, is it tribal or feee land, was it on tribal land, was security involved, could it effect casino revenue... come on people are you SERIOUS??????? Are any of you "haters" out there human... do you have a heart??? It sure doesn't seem like it. So, is this what Pechanga has now become about.... land, money, greed. You are all a bunch of low lifes. I am ashamed to say that I know any of you, or that I am related to you

Anonymous said...

Why don't you ask that question to your Chief?..he is the one dis enrolling real tribal members to line his pocket and his selected friends pockets with more money...this is addressed to anonymous @8:40 am.

Anonymous said...

Ashamed to know us, but not the killer of your family member?

Anonymous said...

What leads a man to kill his own family over a land issue?

Anonymous said...

My cousin Donald was a great guy, for those of you who didn't know him or thought you knew him or the family situation your commits are uncalled for. We lost one of our family members who didn't deserve to die so young. GOD will pass final judgement. Those involved directly or partially may GOD have mercy!!

Donny and I have been friends since I was 15, I am now 43.I came to this blog hoping to find some comfort and answers but after reading these posts i am struck by sadness and pain due to the lack of tact, loyalty and respect you all give and a local boy who grew up on the rez. Back when the road was dirt and if you didnt go slow the people that lived towards the entrance would either shoot at ur tires or chase you.Lol!(I learned that the hard way) :) The talk of a casino wasnt even spoken of yet.Donny grew up there and has earned his place as a true local. To say or think different is absurd! WTF!He was a wonderful friend with a big heart whom has taught me alot of how to appreaciate the beauty in life and I am just heartbroken over his murder. My heart goes out to his family and for others who cared about Donny especially if they have read these posts cuz it has only caused them and I more grief. And its not just on this blog... the newspapers too have an array of shallow people airing their ignorant opinions and veiws under the news of his killing. It just makes me sick.

MY physically disabled FATHER in-law is in JAIL and my Uncle deceased at 43!!

Let Your LAND & Tribal issues REST! !

So the family can try to make sense IF POSSIBLE of this tragedy and grieve!!!!

If you would like to look into the EYES of MY YOUNG children & tell them YOUR PERSONAL topics are above their confusion and the families losses... of many they deeply care for (aka OUR FAMILY, blood, last name not mattering at this point, we all grew up together, we are FAMILY) they unconditionally LOVE then continue,,,and may the great spirit above keep an eye on US to get us thru this trying time! hopefully without tearing us apart!

PEACE~

It was a beautiful but heart wrenching day.Alot of love and grieving, buy it was nice to be with family...(well most of the family). It was truly respectful unlike this blog!!!!! The Fire brigade from the mortuary to the cemetery was unbelievable. The drums before they laid his Ashes to rest, words can't explain. I'm grateful he's with his parents, watching over his loved ones.
I am truly grateful i had the chance to spend time with him a few weeks ago, even if it was got a few hours. Donald was a great man and extremely respected.

DUMMIES,,. THE PROPERTY IN QUESTION HAS ALWAYS BELONGED TO A PECHANGA TRIBAL MEMBER!!! EVERYONE IS SOOO NOSEY!! MAYBE , JUST MAYBE , THE CORRUPTION AND "DRUG MAKING" OUT THERE IS TAKING ITS TOLL ON THE REZ! MACARRO KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING ON! NEED I SAY ANY MORE.....

Anonymous said...

Felon Raymaond Basquez Jr., should not have gotten Donald Piper into "Meth-Making", I hold all those accountable. His dad gave his son no direction in life, what more a non relative. Mark Macarro, your nieces husband should not be making meth, nor should it be transported from Pechanga to Arizona(federal crime). I assure you, your "JUSTICE" is near! ALL OF YOU!!!
