Can Mark Macarro's Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians, Ever Regain Their Lost Honor?

We will address that issue in a series of posts.

Macarro's Pechanga is well known as an apartheid practicing tribe, where longtime residents/allottees are not allowed to drink out of tribal faucets, or use playground equipment.

Macarro's Pechanga is threatening members who speak out with disenrollment.

Macarro's Pechanga failed to follow their own constitution

Stay tuned, but please feel free to look at our archive history for more.

Of course they can. They just have to do the right thing.

Bring members home, follow the constitution. Get rid of the crime family.

Mark 'weird eyes' Macarti NEVER had any honor. Unlike like his assertion that people only sought enrollment for monetary gain, he's the one who was persona non grata on thw rez until it, 'Looked like we would have something'. How dare he accuse others if abandoning the Reservation. and tribe when his dad, Leslie, was the one who moved away from the reservation. How dare he accuse others of not being Pechanga when his blood is as suspect of being Pechanga as much as the Holyman, lol, Raymond Basquez AND even Butch 'ungrateful, and 'stab people who supported his adoption into the tribe' Murphy. He knows his blood is suspect. Why do you think he enrolled his own so. Into another tribe.

Shit why not?!!!! It will lower costs for them not to mentions they'll be DOING the right thing!!!!! Why not??

Reinstating illegally removed members would be the right thing to do. However, it is not up to Mark or the corrupt pechanga people to pick and choose who the members are. It's not something you can take. These people don't know what being Native is about, sad.

Their not First Nation people,....

The tribe should do what is right. It's immoral what they have done to keep rightful members of the Tosobol clan out.

If Philip Ibanez is in the tribe, then the Rios/Aguirre people should be there too.

If the tribe could adopt the non-Pechanga Murphy clan, their will to stop all disenrollments should be recognized.

what ? Are you sure ?

Right...he is sooooo interested in his tribe that he chooses to live anywhere BUT the reservation....why would a tribe vote in a man that won't even live WITH his people? He has made his millions, why live with the common folk?

One doesn't have to live on the reservation to be part of the tribe. One DOES have to have a PO BOX to make sure they save on taxes however.

OP when is the video report coming out?

Living in one certain area (REZ} does not make anyone Indian. It is in your heart and no one can take that away. It is in your blood line and no one can take that away either. I grew up 8 miles from my land, I needed a job and to raise my family. Your beliefs and respect for your heritage make you what you are. So I live on a Rez,drink, steal fight ,drugs and wear a feather in my head band, am I now an Indian? Beat my spouse, abuse my children,in and out of jail or prison and call the Rez my home....awww !!!! I see now I am an Indian.

The problem is all these outsider's who were raised somewhere else have come back to the Rez and try to implement outside ways and use these ideas to control the tribe. People like Maccarro for one. I grew up off the Rez but still had family there and spent time there growing up that's ok. I'm talking about the ones who had NO connection to the tribe until later in life like mark Maccarro. He doesn't understand the way native way the way things work with the people helping each other sticking together he knows the white man's ways of greed and suspicion and do what u can to get more for yourself and to advance yourself. These are not native ways mark. Why do you true native people allow these white washed raised people change and control your way of life when they didnt grow up in it.

In my heart ,hahahaha , The native way,? Shake your hips and do the hokey pokey?

You been watching ,Last of the Mohicans” ? or Little big man?

You know I was not raised on the reservation, but I did have ties to the rez. I got my medical and dental, went to Pow Wow's and other functions like weddings and funerals. I supposes there are those who would say I was a tourist, yet the elders whom I knew and respected accepted me and my family because we came from there and they remember us. It is the new Casino Indian who now has forgotten who we are and who our ancestors were. I car not what they say or anyone else who would question my heritage as a grandson of Chief Pablo Apis. The thing is I do not have to prove who I am. My family who has gone before me will know my face and name when I cross to the other side and we will tell stories of what has happened since their time before us, and we will tell of the time after they left. What do you think will happen to those who know the truth and either lie or do nothing?

Grandson? Your dad was Chief Apis's Son ? Who's your dad?

Pablo Apis, a Luiseño Indian, was born about 1792 at Guajome near Mission San Luis Rey.

Ok smart guy, I am a descendent of Manuela Miranda who was the granddaughter of Pablo Apis. I have direct lineal ties to the land and the tribe from my grandfather who was the grand son of Manuela. It is a fact that the Pechanga Casino sits on Pablo Apis land. What's your problem. If you want to make this personal then that is fine by me, but first you have to stop hiding behind an anonymous post.

If you are the same person that mentioned when he was born then you should also know that all of the Indians of the time where brought back to their land form where they were taken from in the first place hence the Luiseño distinction. There is no proof his parents were not from Temecula. As I said the Indians from the Temecula area were forcibly made to go to Mission San Luis Rey. Also since they were a band before they were moved they stayed together and lived in Guajome near Mission San Luis Rey. In the daytime they went to San Luis Rey and were forced to work and ant night went back to Guajome.

Last I do not have to prove anything to you, you are a nothing to me because you do not have the courtesy or the guts to say who you are and stand by what you say.

Again what's your problem. Why do you hide behind an Anonymous post. I am starting to think you are Ed the Potato Head Burbee.

People who post without representing themselves lessen their statements and arguments. Its like hiding behind sovereignty. Stand up and be proud. This is one of the reason why you do not seem many Apis post. It is too easy to criticizes and not have to back up what you say because no one knows who it really is.
