Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians Continues Their Genocide UPDATED

PRCI continues SHAMING their "tribe"

The Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians, who are the most egregious perpetrators of disenrollment this century, continues their shameful ways. Reports coming in from Coarsegold, CA that their are more disenrollments on the way.

The #stopdisenrollment movement has been shining a spotlight on the abuses of native Americans that we've been reporting on for a dozen years.  The exposure hasn't stopped tribes like Chukchansi from exterminating their own people, to enrich those remaining.

California Governor Gavin Newsom recently APOLOGIZED for the abuses native Americans have suffered in CA the previous TWO CENTURIES, but he ignored what has happened in the last TWO DECADES

Disenrolled Chukchansi Cathy Cory has been highlighting her message to Newsom on her FB page and other native American pages:

Yes, GOVERNOR NEWSOM,  tribal disenrollment IS the new genocide, and thousands of California Indian people are having their tribal, civil, and human rights violated by corrupt tribal government officials on the daily--all beneath the banner of the tribes right to sovereignty...which is actually a horrific abuse of tribal sovereignty, which is supposed to protect our indian people, not allow corrupt tribal "leaders" to destroy them for their own greed and power issues....

The shameful actions of the Chukchansi Tribe, against their own people are the reason whey they are on the TOP TEN INDIAN CASINOS to AVOID list.  If they will CHEAT their own people, won't they cheat their customers?

UPDATE:  The majority vote of the current PRCI   tribal council, who boldly claim to be now following the tribal constitution by suspending 125 tribal citizens, are actually violating it horrifically.

Not only have they taken benefits and voting rights from these people without review of their records (to which they have no right to review, according to the very recently updated enrollment ordinance), but they have done so in violatio
n of the Indian civil rights act of 1968--which is expressly a part of the PRCI original constitution.

To put icing on the cake, they have denied the general council
'
s request to televise monthly tribal council meetings which are a hardship to attend, yet have allowed an absent tribal council member (who, like other prci tribal council members, brings home upwards of $10,000 per month for a seat on council) to VOTE on a motion to suspend these 125 citizens via technology and without presence at the meeting.
