This is not an attack on you personally but the facts should be spoken as they really are. You wrote: "this allowed a very small and vocal (read threatening and intimidating) group of tribal members who attended the monthy tribal council meetings, in this case the distributees and their descendants designated in the tilley-hardwick decision--to control every decision that was made." This is not the case at all. The distributees were actually disenrolled themselves for 10 years, illegally!!! They have no voice in the tribe at all. The founders of the tribe are voiceless and those now in power love it. Those in power are there through corruption & twisting the meaning of a poorly written constitution. The distributees know what the essence of the constitution is. Yet they are ignored because those in power don't like the answers. Just because someone is Chukchansi does not mean they are from Picayune. To qualify for enrollment you need to be a "Distributee" Or a Chukchansi with alottment lands, or you need to be Chukchansi with a "Special Relationship" to the tribe, Being of Chukchansi blood only does not qualify a person for enrollment. These 2 loosely written words "special relationship" are the root cause of the enrollment crisis. The distributees know the essence of these words, they were the ones there when the constitution was drafted. Those in power ignore this fact because it does not fit into their plans.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2887382220113280558.post-87642553268830800932008-09-27T11:04:00.000-04:002008-09-27T11:04:00.000-04:00The ousted Picayune members are weak.
