California's Casino Revenue Drops for 3rd Year. What happened to expanded gaming?

Remember when the tribes PROMISED us they'd help balance our budget?  We discussed that here: How’s Expanded gaming worked out for CA?

Remember this commercial against expanded gaming?

California's American Indian gambling industry continued to struggle in 2010 for the third year in a row, a report released last week shows.
It was the longest decline since gambling was legalized 12 years ago, according to the annual Indian Gaming Industry Report compiled by Alan Meister, an economist with Nathan Associates Inc.

One silver lining for the industry in the state was that the rate of decline was beginning to slow, Meister said.
"Although it is a negative, it is an improvement (over previous years)," Meister said. OP: And improvement because the decline wasn't as bad? Isn't an improvement when it's doing better and CA is getting the money promised?

The 66 Indian casinos in California generated an estimated $6.8 billion in revenue, or about 2.5 percent less than the $6.9 billion they took in the previous year. Revenue fell 5 percent from $7.3 billion in 2008 compared to 2009.
Meister blamed the struggling economy for the industry's falling revenue. He said people have less disposable income because many have lost their jobs.

What planet are you living on? Not in a recession? You must be doing good.

Look up the definition. We aren't in a recession.

Obama made sure we got out of it. And Jerry Brown is turning us around.

Not in a recession,Revenue down.
Alot of people must be getting tired of all the unjust disenrollments going on.

Yes, we need to keep recommending they don't go to certain tribal casinos like Pala and Pechanga. Make those tribes spend MORE money to draw their customer base.

Thank god for Obama and Jerry Brown for getting us out of the recession, maybe they can go save the rest of the world from their economic recessions!

No, the recession isn't why "Pechanga, Pala, and the other Corrupt and Criminal Tribes, with "Casinos', are losing "Revenue," it's because people realize that these "Illegal Acts" are "Wrong," and they are showing this by not "Patronizing" these "Casinos. "Tribes," with "Casinos," that treat their membership with "Honor and Respect," are doing just fine. So by "Boycoting" these "Corrupt and Criminal Tribal Leaders and their "Casinos', it sends a "Message" that this will not be tolerated, and "Revenue" will continue to "Drop Off." Of course these "Greedy Thugs" won't admit it, but that doesn't make it not so. For you have got to know that if they cheat thir own people, they will cheat you. So why would you "Patronize" a "Casino" that can't be trusted to be Fair?

In response to the observation that the rate of decline of CA Indian gaming was slowing down, O Pechanga commented: "And improvement because the decline wasn't as bad?"

- Yes, if there was a decline in one year, and the next year the decline is not as severe (i.e., the growth rate is higher), then by definition that is an improvement. This is commonly used terminology.
