Rep. Leader Bill Leonard Endorses San Manuel's James Ramos for County Supervisor

The former Republican Leader for the Senate and Assembly, Bill Leonard, has endorsed James Ramos for County Supervisor in the 3rd district.

"James Ramos is a man of great integrity and character and his election will help restore the public's faith in their county government," said Leonard. "James is also a dedicated public servant who donates countless hours to improving life in San Bernardino County. We are blessed that he has stepped forward and offered to serve."   OP:  WOW, the same could NOT be said about Pechanga Chairman Mark Macarro could it?  A man who oversees the termination of Indians is NOT concerned about improving life, but harming it.

Bill Leonard represented San Bernardino County in the Assembly and Senate and was elected Republican Leader in both houses of the legislature. He recently finished his second term as a member of the State Board of Equalization.

James Ramos is a small business owner, long-time community leader and elected member of the San Bernardino Community College Board of Trustees. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from The University of Redlands. James has served on numerous boards and organizations promoting business, economic and social opportunities in the greater San Bernardino area. In 2005 he was elected with strong bi-partisan support and re-elected in 2010 to the San Bernardino Community College. James has been appointed by both Republican and Democratic Governors to key state positions. He currently serves on the State Board of Education.

Ramos announced his candidacy in the 3rd district on Monday. Republican Senator Bill Emmerson has also endorsed Ramos.

About the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924.

"American Indians today enjoy full U.S. citizenship rights, and they may absolutely run for office".

INDUBITABLY !!!

INDEED
Indeed, people in government should be reminded that, California's Constitution, Article II, Section 1 (Purpose of government) clearly states that "All political power is inherent in the people.

Government is instituted for their protection, security, and benefit, and they have the right to alter or reform it when the public good may require."

AT-ISSUE

The number of homeless in San Bernardino County grew from 5,270 in 2002 to 7,331 in 2007 to over 10,000 today, a 100% increase.

The number of unemployed in San Bernardino County grew from 8.2% in 2008 to over 16% today, a 100% increase.

The number of foreclosures in San Bernardino County grew from 3.5% in 2004 to over 14% tday, a 200% increase.

The number of business and entrepreneurs that left San Bernardino County, due to high taxes, grew from 2,338 in 2008 to over 7,100 today, a whooping 300% increase.

The re-assessment percentage of value for real property, particularly vacant land, grew to over unprecedented 400%, as of today.
The unscrupulous Assessor's Office is at best.

Excellent grow.

The only thing that failed to grow is the value of real property.

Example: Real property value in 2007 at over $150,000 vs. today's value at less than $15,000 (Want a proof - go and see it at the High Desert Estate, Barstow)

Isn't Pechanga the same tribe that took the hearsay word of an imprisoned child molester to eliminate the family of an original allottee? Wouldn't Chairman Macarro have allowed that to happen?

Not disagreeing with you a all O Pechanga...just so much phoney baloney stuff with all of the tribes, and now we are being bombarded with commercials about how much San Manuel does for everyone...have they come to your defense as fellow Indians?...NO..i doubt it..they are way too busy protecting the $100,000 per capita per member, per month to worry about fellow Indians.Oh sure, they make a few donations and then brag about it...but really, the white man is the reason they have the Casinos and most of the money is coming from the same.
