UPDATE II: Dissension at Pechanga Concerning Upcoming Indictments?

UPDATE II: Interesting back and forth in the comment section. Some questions from Amo'kat:
Munoaboy, please answer these questions.
Article 11 of the Pechanga constitution says, " the enrollment shall opened the first month of every year by the band's enrollment committee."Even so, even if the constitution did allow a moratorium, which it doesn't, it was only supposed to be for one year, for as you say, to catch up on the paperwork, which to a lot of people made sense as a lot of people were coming to join the tribe at that time. But was it needed for over ten years with an eight year extension now on top of that to catch up on paperwork? What kind of idiots need 18+ years to catch up on paperwork or is that just an excuse for those who pushed for the moratorium and they lied just like they lied about a lot of other things?

Munoaboy, do you realize that when a member of the Hunters and two members of the Manuela Mirandas were on the enrollment committee they found out that the committee had been burying applications that were in on time before the moratorium started and since these applications weren't processed on time, a lot of people were stuck in the moratorium that shouldn't have been?
The Hunter and M Mirandas then went to one of the tribal attorneys who told them he couldn't advise them on what to do per instructions from John Macarro.

IT IS WHEN THEY FOUND OUT THERE WAS WRONG DOING ON THE ENROLLMENT COMMITTEE WHEN THE ENROLLMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS WHO WERE DOING WRONG STARTED THE DISENROLLMENT NONSENSE!IN THE LONG RUN LAWLESSNESS WILL NOT PREVAIL AND THE RULE OF LAW WILL WIN OUT AND WE WILL BE BACK.AGAIN, I JUST HOPE YOU ARE NOT SHOCKED TO FIND OUT THAT YOU WILL BE JOINING US ON THE SIDELINES, DISENROLLED, IN THE MEANTIME! DON'T YOU WANT TO BE PART OF A TRIBE THAT FOLLOWS ITS OWN LAWS LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO? YOU CAN BE PART OF THE SOLUTION BY INSISTING THAT PECHANGA FOLLOWS ITS OWN LAWS!

========================================
It looks like there is the foment of dissension at the Pechanga Reservation, home of the Splinter Group.

The indictments of Pechanga employees and members will be coming soon. Reports are that as many as 40 indictments will be handed down, including those for
the son of former Pechanga spokesperson Jennie Miranda.

The adopted families are concerned that Larry won't be rehired at Pechanga casino, (ya think?). Uh, why hire criminals who steal from the casino and the Pechanga people? In fact, why isn't he disenrolled?

Stay tuned for more, but, it sounds like more people are standing up to the thugs in the back of the room. Of course,
RB Jr. is good at threatening gestures, though not in backing them up.

Temecula, will you quit going to Pechanga while they are under indictment? I heard they are laying off people since they put in the new machines?

UPDATE: QUESTIONS:

Is PECHANGA letting some of their employees GO?
Are credit checks the excuse they are using to eliminate people?
Has the union tried to organize yet?
Has Pechanga finally paid it's bill to the state?
IS Pechanga a bad neighbor that does some good things?

Yes, it got pretty loud on Sunday, poor Jennie is really trying to make Larry something he isn't. He betrayed the tribe.

Hey, is VINCE IBANEZ attending the meetings now? With all the children around?

Munoaboy, the CPP heavy tribal council betrayed the tribe when it refused to abide by the 2005 general membership vote to end all disenrollments but the Hunters were kicked out in 2006 anyway.

The council has also systematically betrayed the tribe by allowing a moratorium on new membership keeping out, I am sure, some of your own relatives.

Don't you realize that the constitution and bylaws says open enrollment is every January and that the council betrayed the people by allowing an illegal moratorium.

The tribal council should have ruled the moratorium as unconstitutional because the constitution is supposed to be the ruling document of the tribe.

You may say that since the people also did vote to have the moratorium that it is legal but the council is supposed to uphold the constitution that is why it can be illegal while at the same time the membership stopping disenrollments can be legal.

Munoaboy, when are you members going to realize that the CPP, a lot of them were the goons that sat in the back of the room at membership meetings, are the ones that were and probably are the ones dragging the tribe down and when are you folks going to stand up to them?

You all know that we really belong and the tribe didn't clean up the membership by getting rid of us and keeping the thugs that are bringing the tribe down.

OP, any word about what the indictments are about and any names, besides Larry Miranda, that may be going down?

Hey munoaboy, were related im from the munoa clan too, only difference is your rich and im not, how does it feel?ogdkj

The truth will not be hidden by lies, and corruption. We all know that the CPP has no choice, but to continue to lie and intimidate the rest of the tribe. Karma will play a big role in the CPP future.

We will always have the truth.

Being rich IS nice.

Maybe your family should have attended more meetings and you wouldn't be in this mess.

It's not my fault, so don't take it out on us..

Anonymous said...

Hunters were at meetings.
We fought for the tribe & what was right for all members. What happened to the Hunters, happened behind closed doors, behind our backs!! Both E.C. & tribal council ignored the facts & tribal law. It didn't matter because the rest of the tribe didn't stand up for their Hunter brothers who were screwed, either.

Tribal leaders have all the members by the balls now. Knowing they were able to get rid of the Hunters, who probably have more proof of their tribal lineage than many others,no family is safe. Be carful members the "witch hunt" may not be over yet.

And where are you now? They laugh at how easy it was to get your families out.
It's not funny I know, but you guys didn't even stand up for yourselves.
Even the adopted families fought harder than you.

Sad, but true.

Anonymous said...

Munoaboy, but in the long the run the rule of law will prevail and it will be the downfall of the lawless few who have dragged the tribe down.

Mark my words, we will be back and things will be made right one way or another.

I just hope that it comes sooner than later and that you will not be joining us on the sidelines.

Don't think it can happen to you?

If you aren't part a CPP family, you are a target!

If they get their way, the only members left will be them and no one else.

Do you truly believe what you spew M'boy? Just because we lost doesn't mean we didn't fight or stand up for ourselves! With the deck was stacked against us and with no recourse available if makes for a difficult win.

And in case you haven't noticed we are STILL fighting and standing up for ourselves!

I reckon when everything is all played out there is still the OLD Indian way......

t'eetilawuncha! said...

You know I find it sickining, that current tribal members would even make a statement like this. The adopted members had to fight harder than us because we had the proof , they did not. We know who we are. The CPP are a bunch of applepie indians. Sell out for the cash cow. If it's that important to you, and you think your safe, you better think twice. We were enrolled and recognized long before any money came in. We will be here longer than most of the apple indians are gone. The Hunters have helped many clans, even the Murphy's when they wanted to be adopted. They forget real quick, when it comes to money. The CPP has no custom, they follow no tradition, and they have no morals. If they did, they would have listened to the elders, the elders of the band and followed the montra of recognition. The original Pechanga People OPP knew who was recognized. Antonio Ashmen knew. But the CPP could not handle the truth.

Hunters tried to play by the rules!! We followed all the procedures to a tee. The cards were stacked against us. It took Pechanga over two years to figure a way to kick out the Hunters. It actually was quite a fight. Most of it took place behind closed doors. Full of Lies!!

E.C. gave the family an extensive document request list. We supplied them every document requested & many many more. E.C. & Tribal Council ignored by-laws & constitution. Our appeal to the tribal council was a joke& there is nowhere else to turn, at this point. The Hunters are Pechanga & will always be. We just aren't recieving that big check like you, rich guy.

It is no supprise you are laughing with all that Hunter blood money. Hunters know the truth & will stand tall at the gates of Heaven when we meet our maker.

You were in the tribe, you could have joined a committee, worked on behalf of the tribe. like we've done.

Now, you are mad at ME, because you didn't do much? Not just Hunters, but Manuela Mirandas.

Why am I greedy because I accept what's MINE. I'm sorry for your loss, but, you didn't do enough to protect it.

We're stuck with who we have now, even if they are adopted.

A Hunter was chair of the E.C.
A Hunter was on the P.D.C.
A Hunter was Treasurer of Silver Feathers.
Hunters, through the years have been on the Tribal Council& many committees.
You sound like a Casino Indian that knows very little about Pechanga history.
We did work on the tribes behalf.
The CPP however did not agree with our actions & we were played.
What you think is yours greedy,is also OURS!!

You really don't know what you are talking about in reference to the Hunters & what they did. You are sure not making any friends here. Its too bad the tribe is stuck with who we have now? What are you talking about? The petition to end disenrollment that was passed, that included the Hunters?

I remember the M boys sitting in the back of the room at tribal meetings playing on their computers with no idea what was going on.

munoaboy I was never in the tribe, Im stuck in this ridiculous moratorium which Im shure you can give a hoot, but you sound like one of those rich spoiled do nothing kids, have fun spending your unearned money while you can greedyboy!

Anonymous said...

You were NEVER in the tribe? How can you be stuck in a moratorium?

Why didn't you enroll earlier. The tribe has always had open enrollment before we had to close it to catch up on the paperwork.

If you were getting per capita, you would be rich and spoiled too. How many of the Manuela's didn't work? Or the Hunters?

Im in the moratorium because alot of nonIndians in the tribe dont want the true indians there.I was two weeks late in turning in my application big deal. They can kick a family out in month, but It take them twelve years to go through applications, sounds like greed to me. Munoaboy you know nothing about what goes on, so go play with your video games and go get an education.

THE TRUTH WOULD SET ALL OF YOU FREE. I am talking to MUNOABOY OR GIRL??? why don't you know about what is really going on in your tribe. Are you really that uninformed and ignorant or are you just playing stupid. The story about Pechanga's corruption and what they did and how they manipulated to disenroll and keep out tribal descendants have been written in many Newspapers. Since obviously you don't read much, please have someone read it to you. Inform yourself, find the truth.

Very sorry there I will refer all of message to manure boy, you do know what your talking about though, glad to know were on the same side

Anonymous said...

I see no reason to insult me. Just because you didn't fight hard enough isn't on me.

Why don't you point your efforts where they belong?

We have family on the PDC...we work for the tribe.

Anonymous said...

But even if it was true that Munoaboy's ancestor was an Indian brought from the San Gabriel Mission to work at the San Luis Rey Mission she would have been living and working along side the Luiseno people who were there and they likely would have come to know her as one of their own, an Indian being exploited by the fathers at the San Luis Rey Mission.

All these years later, if the casinos didn't exist, no one would have ever brought it up that an Indian woman who lived with the people was anything other than one of the people.

The Munoas were not the ones who turned on us and threw us out of the tribe and while a lot of us feel they haven't done enough against the lawlessness in the tribe, they are not the true villians here.

The CPP are the villains who tried to find technicalities to get rid of us that would not have held up if the disenrollment process had been fair or even if it had been legally followed, ironically technicalities they themselves can't answer.

OPechanga said...

Did Elder John Munoa ever stand up against disenrollment?
I certainly don't remember that at all.

I know his son won't accept emails on these matters anymore.

Anonymous said...

Hey munoaboy, You keep saying we didnt fight hard enough, what did you do to get in the tribe? can you help some of us get enrolled? Or talk to others about this illegal moratorium? Bet your afraid like the rest of them! Come on stand up for what is righyt!

Anonymous said...

I'm done with you Munoa-???,shut up!!
You are a joke & should be x'ed from this site. You have no clue about what has happened& choose to belittle the O.P.P.(HUNTERS)

SHUT UP & GO AWAY PUNK . WOW, YOU MIGHT BE NEXT, A-- H---!

Your family has always been in question dum-dum. Go back to the mormon church(UTAH)have you ever seen Temecula? & pray before you are booted out, too. Yea, your papa(white boy ) has a seat, don't be suprised if its pulled out from under him(just like the hunter's whom you turned your backs on out of fear & greed )

FACT-ALOTMENT # ????? NONE. You are pretty white to be native??????

Munoaboy is free to comment here. It gives a good example of the thinking going on there.

Its not what skin color you have. California Indians are either Mexcian or White. It's whats on the inside. Macarro is mexican, and Luker is white.

White Buffalo said...

Ever hear of an Albino Indian well if you do you might have seen me at the meetings be for we were illegally disenrolled I am Guero Nunez aka White Buffalo and AI have Indian on all sides of my family tree except one. I should a enrolled at Pala where I know they accept me Do you remember me mboy I’ll bet the elders who were at those meetings do. Those people who did this to us waited for my grandfather to Die because they knew that he would have put a stop to it. Ask Jenny M. my mom’s first cousin about it. I would talk to her personally but I don’t want to go to prison for pulling out her hair implants or for the beating I want to give her son. If you are reading this big L come see me and I’ll school ya some on the proper way an Indian should act. Mboy The only recourse I have left is to use Violence but I am not stupid so I control the urge to take a scalp or two or three hey that rhymes with CPP get my point

Anonymous said...

Probably, the whole tribe is of mixed blood, that is not the issue.

OPP is right, it is what is inside that counts, not what someone looks like.

Ironically part of the Hunter family is from the San Gabriel mission, from the other side of the family, and the CPP tried to use this against us by planting doubts in people's minds using innuendo like, "see, the Hunters really are Gabrielleno, not Pechanga."

But the fact is that Paulina Hunter herself was Pechanga and that is what counts and what is on the other side of the family is meaningless as far as citizenship at Pechanga is concerned.

All of the Hunters are direct descendants of Paulina, hence true Pechanga people no matter what the other part of the family is.

I guess we have to trust our instincts and fear for our families. The THUGS at Pechanga will be the downfall.
Is Ray. Jr's probation complete now? How many strikes does he have?

Is there any new information on the indictments? Do we know who all is actually involved, and what type of charges would be filed.

Anonymous said...

Yes the manuela and the hunter family's were a part of all aspects of the tribe, from jobs to living here our whole lives. You say your stuck with adopted members now. Only if you choose to be. The Hunters were kicked out because they voiced their opinions and dared to disagree with adopted indians. Try it sometimes
